Clinical Findings API

🔹 Description:
The Clinical Findings API processes clinical dental images — including upper and lower occlusal, intraoral, and left/right side views — to automatically detect and localize:
• Dental Decay
• Orthodontic Indicators (Ortho)
• Restorations
• Fillings
The API returns a structured JSON response highlighting each finding with coordinates and provides a version of the image annotated with visual predictions for clear interpretation.
🦷 What is the purpose of this API?

The purpose of this API is to assist dental professionals in:
• Early detection of caries (decay) from high-detail clinical images.
• Identifying existing restorations and fillings in localized areas.
• Recognizing orthodontic appliances or treatments.
• Improving diagnostic accuracy using AI-generated overlays for faster decision-making.
• Enhancing patient documentation by providing visual and structured summaries of intraoral conditions.
🕐 When to use it?

This API is best used:
• During routine clinical examinations using intraoral or occlusal photos.
• In treatment planning, to identify previously placed restorations or fillings.
• When monitoring the progression of decay or evaluating orthodontic outcomes.
• To support case documentation with structured and annotated visuals.
• As part of digital charting systems or AI-enhanced dental recordkeeping.
🔹 Notes:
• If a particular finding is not detected in the image, it will not appear in the Results.
• Ensure good image quality and resolution for best performance.
• This API is optimized for panoramic X-rays and may not produce accurate results with other imaging modalities.
• Can be used alongside the Panoramic Segmentation and Panoramic Findings APIs for comprehensive image analysis.
